Hi Zaki,

Follow the steps below to extract real-time data from Tally using ODBC

Step 1:  Open company from which you want to fetch the data

Step 2: Open excel file > Data Tab > Click on Get Data > From Other Sources > From ODBC

Excel ODBC

Step 3: Choose TallyODBC as a data source from the list

Step 4: Select the company from which you want to extract the data (If you have enabled the security controls in Tally data then it will prompt for the same first in excel connection)

Step 5: Choose the type of data that you wish to extract from the list of tables populated and then click on load button

It will now fetch selected data list from Tally real-time. You may delete the unwanted columns but don't change the columns header names else it will lost the connection with that column;

You may click on click "Refresh All" button to refresh real-time data from Tally to Excel

Notes

  • Tally version used TallyPrime Release 4.0
  • Excel version used Microsoft Office 2019 64bit
  • If case you are not getting TallyODBC selection in the excel then you might need to re-install your MS Office. Try to use latest office version only
  • You may also try to change the ODBC port in Tally like 9001, 10001 from F1 > Settings > Connectivity
